Our favorite, however, is the beautifully prepared Polynesian Black Pearl, which is a chocolate-covered chocolate mousse, served inside a housemade pasty clam shell and drizzled with a sweet lilikoi syrup. One of the popular desserts is the Polynesian Black Pearl which is chocolate liliko’i mousse in a pastry seashell. Keeping with the local ingredient theme, it features Maui Ku’ia Estates Chocolate. We ordered the Haleakala Beef in a grilled Hana papaya starter to share. The deep orange yellow color of the papaya was gorgeous and it paired beautifully with the grilled steak and red onions.

The signature drinks, however, were my favorite – the Mai Tai was a great balance of sweet and sour and the Blue Hawaii was both visually stunning and delicious. I was impressed with Mama’s Fish House’s cocktail menu, with a selection of creative and unique tiki drinks. Plus, with local ingredients used throughout the year, you can enjoy seasonal availability too. Poi is a staple Hawaiian dish, and Mama’s Fish House does it justice.
